# Access the Wazuh Dashboard

The Wazuh dashboard provides a central place to review agents, security events, alerts, and monitoring status.

## Objective

Sign in to the Wazuh dashboard and become familiar with the main areas before adding monitored systems.

## Open the Dashboard

From the trusted ZyberLab environment, open the dashboard address created during the `WAZUH01` installation.

The exact address and certificate behavior depend on the Wazuh version and installation method.

Use the lab administrator account created during installation.

Do not save the password in screenshots, GitBook pages, GitHub files, or public notes.

## Review the Interface

Spend a few minutes locating the areas related to:

* agent management
* security events
* alerts
* dashboards
* configuration and platform status

The names and layout can change between Wazuh releases. Focus on understanding what each area is used for rather than memorizing a specific interface layout.

## Check Platform Health

Before enrolling endpoints, confirm that the Wazuh components appear healthy.

If the dashboard reports errors, resolve those issues before adding agents. Otherwise, endpoint problems may be confused with server-side problems.

## Record a Baseline

Add a simple note to your private lab record:

| Item                 | Value                          |
| -------------------- | ------------------------------ |
| System               | `WAZUH01`                      |
| Wazuh version | Record installed version |
| Dashboard accessible | Yes or No |
| Agents enrolled      | 0 at this stage                |
| Platform status | Healthy or needs investigation |

## Verification

The lab is complete when:

* you can sign in to the Wazuh dashboard
* the platform is healthy enough to continue
* you can locate the agent management area
* you can locate the security event or alert views
* no credentials have been added to the documentation

## Security Relevance

A monitoring platform is only useful when you understand its health and data sources. Before investigating alerts, first make sure the platform itself is functioning correctly.
